[He's oh so politely asking the staff, before slipping off to another room to make calls. There are people he needs to talk to before someone tries to medicate him. BYE JUSIS.]
He lets the staff shuffle him out, gives the number of his burner phone to a nurse requesting she call him when Rufus is attended to, as well as a note for Rufus, and heads back out to leave. Soon enough this place is likely to be crawling with people Jusis doesn't want to deal with.]
[That's fine too. Rufus is completely confident that he can have Jusis brought home any time he likes. So he's just going to call his boss and his aides and start trying to make up for this mistake.
He does get treatment, it just takes awhile, but eventually after some drugs and another nap he'll get Jusis' note, while the nurse makes that call.]
[SIGH. What a cute, annoying brother. Rufus will leave him alone for now, but as soon as he's home he's sending people to retrieve him. He has three days to hide.]
[Jusis does call, once, to say hello. It's a short conversation if Rufus even answers.
Otherwise he does his level best to avoid Rufus's bloodhounds, and when it becomes apparent he can't evade them and he's cornered, he leaves his hired hands with instructions, splits up with them and lets himself be taken alone rather than lose anyone in a fight.
He's in a better position. He should have things out of Rufus's direct control, though he's sure if Rufus hunts long enough he'll find all of Jusis's accounts and contacts, but he's had some time to make that difficult and to thoroughly divide his resources.
Nothing can be considered perfectly safe with Rufus on the other side, but he's at least not in the same position he was in before, even while he's being dragged back to the Albarea mansion in chains.]
[Jusis has worked hard, and Rufus is proud. That doesn't mean he's not going to work on getting Jusis back under his thumb, but he's proud.
It's been a couple of weeks by the time Jusis gets caught. Rufus is proud of that, too, and actually a little glad. That time frame means most of his bruises have faded and his cuts are healing, though his arm's still in a sling. When Jusis arrives he's deposited in his room, and Rufus comes in not too much later looking mildly annoyed.]
You really don't need to waste resources this way.
[He can admit Jusis taking him to a clinic was good. But there's a whole lot that's not good too, and he's mad enough about it that he's coldly driving his heel into Jusis' ribs. It's not enough to break anything but it's certainly enough to hurt.]
You should be more concerned about yourself, however.
[He's had time to gather up his feelings and pack them away again. It makes him harder to throw off, to start, but he's still lacking the defenses he had months ago. It's a fragile stubbornness but he's very deliberate about doing this. Hurting Jusis puts him back in control, so he's grinding his heel in, then dragging his foot down to press between Jusis' legs.
It's sort of a last-ditch effort to make Jusis feel humiliated and thrown off enough that he'll stop being so frustrating, but he already knows it won't work.]
Every mistake is a chance to lose a war. We can't have you bungling things that arent your business.
[Maybe he should gag him. This will be easier without the conversation. He's not doing it yet, though. He's busy dispassionately rubbing Jusis through his pants with the sole of his boot.]
I'd rather find yours than see what happens if I don't.
[He's just keeping at it, looking as disinterested in Jusis' words as he did the first time. He's got a tight rein on the part of him that wants to do exactly as Jusis says.]
You've already proven you don't have anything useful to say.
[Ugh!! Rufus is actually mad at himself, every time he says something truly mean. He wants to be more personable than that, but he's just... terribly threatened by Jusis' softness. It's a lot to deal with. He's found a scarf in Jusis' closet though, so he's coming back with intent to gag him.
He's not going to get to, though, because just as he kneels to do it there's a knock on the door. Rufus makes a face, but drops the scarf to get back up and go answer it with all his usual charm, as if he wasn't just being a huge creep. The servant there talks at a whisper, hard for Jusis to hear, but Rufus looks quite startled.]
--What? Now?
[He's distracted, it seems, but what can Jusis do still tied up?]
[The servant is apologizing for not being able to convince a guest that Rufus is busy. Also that said guest seems quite impatient and something about an unusual number of armed guards...]
I see... Tell him I'll be in shortly.
[Okay. OKAY. As soon as the servant is gone Rufus sighs, rubbing at his face in an unusual display of stress.]

Stop being an ass.
I love you.
I'll call.
-Jusis
He's asking the nurse about Rufus's condition, but he doesn't ask her to hand the phone to his brother.]

[He's just gonna come over and step on Jusis' chest while he's tied up on the floor.]
And yet here we are.
no subject
I should have stayed with you. I knew you'd be in good care but I've been worried.
Are you feeling better?
[Just genuinely, that's his priority, is Rufus healing well.]

Why is it so difficult to consider my way of doing things?
no subject
I'm not interested in that kind of foolishness.
[Lucky for Jusis he removes his foot, but that's only because he's looking for something to gag him with.]
no subject
Rufus, why can't you just talk to me?
no subject

It seems I'll have to deal with you later, Jusis.
